Ditched T-Mobile, got an iPhone
As you may have already heard, Jacqui lost her phone during perhaps the most important week of her professional career. Macworld 2008 Predictions, how did I do?
You might remember that a few weeks ago, I made some predictions about the Macworld 2008 conference & expo we covered last week, here are the results: Movie Rentals: +1, this was the most likely to happen, everyone got this one right New Macbook: +1, also very likely, but the specific details were not pinned down until a day or two immediately prior to the keynote. Goodbye San Francisco!
It was a great, if not busy & tiring, week in my second favorite city in the world. Day three of Macworld, whole week, almost done
At this point, I would like nothing more than to go home! This full week conference stuff really drags on a person. Here's a link to the roundup of our second day's coverage, if you're interested. Macworld 08 thus far
We're almost through with the second day of the Macworld expo and I'm already getting burned out. But in a good way ;) Last night we threw our big party) and it was a huge success! Over 500 people showed up for a party we'd originally estimated to draw around 100. The place was packed and filled full of really cool people. Bits and bobbles before Macworld
Things have been moving extremely quickly in our run up to the week of Macworld over the past few days. Because I have so little time, I am proceeding to engage in a massive brain dump. Apple dominates CES
Last year, Macworld and CES were booked over the same week in January. Quite unfortunate. Does anyone even remember what happened at CES last year? The iPhone, Apple TV, and a slew of other Apple products hit the ground and blew away anything that was being discussed in Las Vegas. Well this year, Apple barely had to try. Macworld is next week, and as you know, Apple announced minor, incremental updates to their pro-line. Result? New Mac Pros & Xserve ahead of Macworld
I made my predictions a few days ago. I postulated that it was possible that both the Xserve and Mac Pro would gets bumps during the keynote. I'm pleased to see, however, that Apple quietly pushed these updates a week ahead of the good stuff. This means that the keynote itself has much more berth for new announcements, yay! On the Mac Pro: The new processors have a 1600MHz frontside bus and 800MHz memory, so that means speedy renderings for you.
