The city of Charlotte, N.C. is considering moving 950 graves [nytimes – free registration] to make way for a rail line.

People are mad. The real question is why? C’mon people, they’re dead, they won’t mind being moved. This is just another instance of stupid superstition and blind faith to tradition is blocking progress.
