Someone makes the observation that the proceeds from the new Apple Music Service don’t go directly to the artist.

I hate to break it to everyone but when it comes right down to it, Joe Average doesn’t really give a damn about the artist. Oh, sure he loves the music and he wants it but what it all really comes down to is how much Joe pays for that music. The vocal minority will plead and campaign on the part of the Artist et cetera (and the majority is willing to tag along in hopes that they’ll be able to pay $3 less for a CD).

So no, I doubt many people are concerned that the artist doesn’t get a cut of my $0.99.
