Software - Last update today (I swear)

I’ll make this quick.

Camino 0.7 – This used to be called Chimera and is the premier Gecko based web browser for OS X. 0.7 was released (after much waiting!) today. It’s awesome, you should download it :P

NetJuke – This is a cool PHP app that lets you run a mySQL/PHP based jukebox. You can actually operate it in a number of modes. You can let it index your mp3s and serve as a local playlist generator (you can get a good overview of all your genres, albums, and artists) all through your web browser. It lets you generate custom playlists however you like (even randomly!). The playlist then just access the mp3s over the webserver. Obviously this is only convienant with a local server, and that’s why it offers features to generate playlists and control a shoutcast station (SUPER COOL).

The real killer feature is that you can set up users who can create custom playlists and upload their own files. Perfect for a tight community of people (dorm, fraternity, work place). Users can share their playlists publicly and help to run the shoutcast server if need be.

Download it!
