David Hyatt , a safari developer, has written up a little explaination of his stance on tab implementation and its place in Apple’s browser Safari. Its worth a read, however, I doubt it’ll throw those weird “LETS PUT ICONS OF OUR WEBPAGES INTO A GIANT EXPANDING SIDEBAR DOWN THE SIDE OF THE BROWSER” back on their heels. Personally I think those implementations are both ugly and unusable. Tabs work fine, and do have their disadvantages.

In any case, I think anyone who’s interested in browser UI or UI in general, or just David Hyatt’s opinion should check it out ;)
