I mean seriously people. Really? Yeesh. Uncomfortable.
Not sure whether I should laugh or cry :) See more funny videos and funny pictures at CollegeHumor.
Lawrence Lesig investigate's Sarah Palin's claim that her experience qualifying her for the position of Vice President of this country is "normal." As it turns out, her experience is not normal and in fact, pales in comparison to nearly every single other Vice President that has ever served our country. See 11 minute video presentation below: Why does this matter? Lessig briefly goes in to some statistics that show that 9 out of the 46 American Vice Presidents have had to assume the role of president at some point during their term. This is a 20% chance that any VP ...
"Who was more presidential in this crisis? Who was clam and unflustered? It wasn't John McCain. Who substituted vehemence for coherence?" This ABC panel just skewers McCain on the economy: McCain voted consistently to deregulate to this point where we are. Now he's on a tear claiming he's going to be a badass re-regulator. What a crock of shit. Washington Post, McCain Health-Care Article Fuels New Clash Over Economy: JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 20 -- An article about health care published in an obscure journal led to a new skirmish Saturday between the campaigns of Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John ...
The differences between the candidates, in their reactions to the financial hardships of the previous week, boiled down in to less than three minutes. Take aways: McCain: A blowhard who will do anything to pass the blame rather than get anything worthwhile done. He'd rather take pot shots at anyone but himself and his party than actually, I dunno, spend 30 seconds detailing anything, some sort of plan, to mitigate the situation in some way. More of the same, stupid shit we've endured for 8 years. McCain's talk does nothing but seek to stir up fear and uncertainty about everyone's ...
Economists for Obama This is according to a new survey of 523 economists who are U.S. citizens and members of the American Economic Association. See a Powerpoint with methodology and detailed results here. Obama's Economists McCain voted to raise taxes 477 times

Would you trust your lives to this guy? Seriously?
Who are these people??? I just wish I could afford something like those $520 Ferragamo shoes McCain wears.
As long as McCain keeps shooting himself in the foot at every opportunity:
Whoa!! One of my favorite comics ever, Get Your War On is now available in animated format. Can I just say that the animation of this thing is pretty freaking awesome. It's still got that low-tech feel. Just watch it. I love the dude's phone cord jiggling as he walks around:
75,000 people showed up to see Barack Obama speak in Portland. That's roughly 10% of the entire population of the city! I think it's also the largest number of people to turn out for one of Barack Obama's rallys yet! Just amazing!
First, a quote from Bill Clinton. Unquestioningly the best president to serve during the past 30 years: Now one of Clinton's laws of politics is this: If one candidate's trying to scare you and the other one's trying to get you to think, if one candidate's appealing to your fears and the other one's appealing to your hopes, you better vote for the person who wants you to think and hope. Second, a silly Hillary Clinton campaign ad running currently Third and final, a response from Barack Obama.
Obama is on an impressive streak! Go Obama! Gobama! In homage to Mike Thole's tweet and my Twitter icon, I have made this banner:
Sad, sad stuff. I can't say I'm surprised they're so brazen about it though. This country has proven over and over that no one really cares how corrupt and lifeless we've become.
I just ran across this post on the Speak Up blog, The Hardest Working Presidential Candidate Logo, and thought others might enjoy it. It really speaks to how the Obama campaign have employed some really thoughtful designers / design firms to build and push the "branding" of the Barack Obama 2008 campaign. This particular article is how their team have molded their core image to play towards many disparate groups of people without losing the message. [a] nice designer from Nike e-mailed me pointing out the "ridiculously nice" (as he put it) implementation of the logo under the "People" section ...
I know he won and all last night, but calling it a "victory" speech makes me feel funny. It probably feels like a lot bigger victory to them because they've been grinding for four months now. The speech is great and I hope Obama rolls all the way to the White House by November. I am so happy for Obama, his campaign, and his family: Go Obama!
CNN won't do it, but with well over 76% of precincts reporting, Obama has garnered nearly 36% of the votes, with his two closest competitors (Edwards & Clinton) topping out at around 30% each: Senator Barack Obama : 35.96% Senator John Edwards : 30.60% Senator Hillary Clinton : 30.41% Governor Bill Richardson : 1.92% Senator Joe Biden : 0.98% Uncommitted : 0.10% Senator Chris Dodd : 0.03% Precincts Reporting: 1382 of 1781 Keep watching the results here http://www.iowacaucusresults.com/ or here: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/state/#IA Update: Gus Mueller pointed me to Politico which is great for watching both sides of the primaries, and not ...
