Htmini.com shows up in Mac Addict
One of my other projects made it—albeit very briefly—into a major magazine! The mention is just a URL and a sentence of text, but it’s still really cool ;)

Avoid exposure to direct sunlight
Me and a bunch of coworkers (and management) were treated to an afternoon at a Reds game (we won!) and I felt the full brunt of the sun :( I am burnt to a crisp! This is what happens when pasty nerds are exposed to sunlight for more than 2 hours: Even though I wore my Reds cap, my face still managed to get all red. yech, I’ll be feeling this in the morning for sure.

magpiebrain: A comparison of Django with Rails
Rails is framework which emerged from the development of a web application, Basecamp. Django was emerged from the development of the highly successful Lawrence Journal World. Both applications were written in situations and organisations that historically would have ended up being written in Perl or PHP - but ended up being written in Ruby and Python respectively. New shoes
I ordered two new pairs of shoes this evening. The first pair I’ve had my eye on for a while now. These are those “woven” Air Force One Premiums that were released in various Caribbean colors (red and orange, yellow and green, etc). These are black, white, and graphite which much better fits my style of clothing:  !http://phaedo.cx/images/af1_lo_wve_blk_7.jpg! The next pair is a new...

Tips and tricks
And while on the topic of Python, Domenico Carbotta asked for a running environment for Python which would catch exceptions and show these with links to the source. I pointed him toward how pdflatex and xcodebuild uses the HTML output capability of commands to present a glorified build report with potential errors shown using hyperlinks, and it didn’t take him long to create something even nicer...

The Christian Paradox (Harpers.org)
And therein is the paradox. America is simultaneously the most professedly Christian of the developed nations and the least Christian in its behavior. That paradox—more important, perhaps, than the much touted ability of French women to stay thin on a diet of chocolate and cheese—illuminates the hollow at the core of our boastful, careening culture. PyWebOff - Comparing Python Web Frameworks
Michelle Levesque compares seven popular Python web frameworks (excepting Django and Subway, which are both kinda new): CherryPy, Quixote, Twisted, WebWare and Zope were the five frameworks that were receiving the most attention when this exercise began. Karrigell is being included as an example light-weight framework, and CGI (print statements) is being included as a control set, to see what...
