Secret Santa gift arrives!
So we coordinated a global, on-line version of Secret Santa amongst the forums readers of Ars Technica. Today my secret santa gift arrived and it was GREAT. The word on the street must be that I like meat because last year I got a honey baked ham and this year I received a pound of beef, dried Biltong (south african) style:

PSP Firmware 2.60
Sony has a new release of the PSP firmware, this one is 2.60 and it actually has some interesting features. This latest update’s main features include WMA support, DRM capabilities, and a RSS Reader. The RSS reader makes the PSP one of the few MP3 players that can get and play podcasts via Wi-Fi without a computer. URI: PSP Firmware v2.60 Released.

It wasn’t a “bumpy” ride per se, we were just blown around a lot by the strong winds. Flying in over Chicago at night has got to be one of the best things ever. The city, really any large city, just looks cool in the dark.
Stupid travel

New RSS/Atom framework in Django!
This is excellent news! I can’t wait to try and implement RSS in some of my apps.
The previous RSS framework, which was completely undocumented, has been removed/refactored completely. If you hacked things around, reverse-engineered, etc., and were actually using the previous RSS framework, your feeds will no longer work. I’ve documented the changes on the backwards-incompatible changes...
