Debate numero uno! Fight!
Unless you live under a rock, then you should have known that the two candidates for president were having a “debate” tonight. I put little quotation marks around the word “debate” because there was an entire rule-book worked out between the two sides specifying the parameters of the debate down to its finest detail.
First the two candidate’s campaigns tried to bully the news networks into not...

O'Reilly is a stoned slacker
I watched an interview on Bill O’Reilly’s show the other day. He was interviewing Jon Stewart mostly on the topic of his new book (see my recommendation below) but he also tried to grill Jon or somehow place blame on him for people watching his fake news show as their sole source of information about politics.
Jon and the Daily Show have long held the position that people solely watching “The...
US Politics has officially jumped the shark
The presidental debates are coming up tomorrow and along with that we are beginning to see more stupid crap from both candidates. Representatives of both campaigns have been hammering out an “agreement” for the debates and it apparently includes a bunch of stupid shit that the news networks are objecting to:
Specifically, the networks object to provisions in the agreement that place limits on...

Got some people to model the babydoll prototype
Matt hooked me up with 3 cool people at Purdue who were willing to model our “prototype” baby doll t-shirt. It took a while but we got the pics.
Vacation round-up and other miscellany
Well on Saturday around 11pm, me and Jacqui finally arrived back here in Cincinnati to find two very appreciative and hyper cats :) We had a blast in our short trip to San Jose/Santa Cruz. The weather was awesome and we ate plenty of excellent seafood:
I also got to dress up and look spifftastic (unfortunately I only have a pic of me looking half-way dressed up from the rehearsal/dinner...
RSS Aggregators for OS X
So I was all ready to make a post about how much I loved this new application called Newsfire and how it’s almost taken the place of NetNewsWire as my permanent news reader and Ranchero goes and releases the first [public beta of NetNewsWire 2.0]!
I was set to tell everyone about how the interface of Newsfire was how an OS X app should be, how it was not sluggish in the least, did everything I...
Sashu might have a new home and We're going to San...
We found out yesterday that Sashu might have an adopter in Chicago. The Great Lakes Bengal Association is checking the potential adopter’s references and evaluating their situation for owning this cat. Sashu and Brutus has been getting along real well today, playing and cleaning each other. I’ll be a little sad to see Sashu go but I think in the end, Sashu will be better off in a bigger home...

Its that time of year
Every Excel worksheet is limited to 256 columns. Despite what must amount to thousands of requests over the years, Microsoft refuses to increase the number of columns in a worksheet. Beginners often discover this limitation when they want to set up a spreadsheet that contains data for each day in a year. If they store the data horizontally, they run out of column in mid-September.

Rich loves his shirt
I sent Rich a “Resistance is Futile” shirt he could wear on campus and entice lots of nerdy people to buy our shirts :) He took a picture for me and I spiff’d it all up, here is the result:
Are you better off today than we were four years...
No.

We also got an awesome review from one of our customers, Raj:

Ok, the shirt is cool.
There are 3 things I look for in a t-shirt: how snug it is, how it feels,
and whether or not it is black. My new “My Computer Goes Down on Me” T-shirt
from www.testtubetshirts.com satisfies each of...

Small statements speak volumes
Tony Blair’s government have quietly announced that they are backing Kerry in the US presidential elections.
Humiliated, Angry, Ashamed, Brown
I’ve been persued, detained and interrogated twice, just in my first quarter of photography classes, and in both of those instances I was on public property, in areas well known for their high volumes of tourist traffic. Dear God, I really don’t want to think about what might happen to me without witnesses around, or when I finally get to work on those industrial studies in the photojournalism...
Wichita school bans goths
Why do they ban dressing like a goth but they don’t ban people for dressing preppy?
A dozen students at Wilbur Middle School in Wichita, Kansas, were threatened with suspension for dressing in black clothing, dying their hair, and wearing black lipstick or eye shadow after the school’s principal cracked down on the “Goth” look last week.
I remember back when I was freshman at Northeast Magnet...
Using your computer outside: Illegal?
Check out this crap
AKMA, was using his computer outside a public library. He opened up his laptop and it connected to an open network automatically so he began using it. Not soon after, a police officer came up and told him he couldn’t use the library’s wireless internet unless he was inside the library (it was closed at the time).
He then offered to disconnect from the network completely...
